  • Yes! Everything you share in the therapy space is protected by confidentiality. There are a few exceptions to this, such as if you are having thoughts of self-harm or harming someone else, if I hear of  abuse or neglect of an elderly person, disabled person, or a child, and/or if my records are court ordered to be released. Otherwise, what you say here stays here.

Your trust, confidentiality, and safety are of the utmost importance to me. I do not use any form of AI in my work, and do not audio or video record anything in sessions. Clients are also prohibited from recording session content.

  • I am a certified sex therapist. What this means is that I have received extensive additional training (on top of my doctorate!) that includes sexuality-focused coursework, supervision, and client care related to sexuality concerns. This training allows me to support you in a professional and safe manner, rooted in science, to address a variety of sexual concerns such as: difficulties with desire, religious and sexual trauma, sexual shame, sexual identity concerns, and sex related anxiety.

Sex therapy is a talk-therapy based service only, which means no showing, touching, or boundary crossing happens here. Come as your most authentic self and bring all of your identities. I am queer, poly, and kink affirming, and am here to celebrate all of you!

  • Once we do a phone consultation and decide to get you scheduled, our first session, or our Intake Session, will allow me to have more time to get to know you. I will be asking you questions about your past and your present, and getting more time to understand what is bringing you into therapy and how I can best help you. This session might feel a little more like an “interview” than the sessions that follow. At the end of the intake, we will determine if we’d like to start working together, and will come up with a game plan on moving forward.

  • Nope! I do not use AI in my practice.
